As a deputy district attorney, husband, and father, I have dedicated my career to fighting the crime that threatens our community. As a gang prosecutor I have prosecuted violent gang members for heinous crimes - shootings, assault, kidnapping, bank robbery and murder. I have prosecuted dangerous skinheads who target vulnerable victims and places of worship. In my career as a prosecutor, I have come to believe that the quality of justice demands a familiarity with the experience of victimization. I have that experience.
As a law professor of California evidence at Chapman Law School in Orange, I deal with current and complex issues in California law on a daily basis by preparing law students for practice in California courts.
I understand that we need judges who will bring tough fairness to the bench and who are committed to handing down the punishment criminals deserve. Judges are often the final safeguard for the peace of a community, and must be trusted to hand down punishment fairly and efficiently - not twist the will of the people to their own personal ends.
